Une belle soirée au Teatro Duse de Bologne.

“Robinson”, une pièce du chorégraphe italien Michele Di Stefano, m’a captivée dès son ouverture. Le décor, assez dénudé, était pourtant puissant, tout comme les jeux d’ombres et de lumières qui révélaient les danseurs puis les transformaient en fines silhouettes. Ce “Robinson” possédait une trame simple, une ambiance d’ile déserte parfois lassante, mais bien vivante, et une poignée de danseurs dont la technique à la fois linéaire et fluide me plaisait énormément. Si vous préférez une petite vidéo à de longues explications, je vous conseille de regarder le trailer de “Robinson”.

Presque trop court, le spectacle m’a un peu laissée sur ma fin … Mais la performance des 5 danseurs vêtus de blanc et beige en valait la peine. A leur place, je n’aurais sans doute pas su danser plus longtemps. Ils avaient déjà beaucoup donné, et leur travail se devait d’être applaudi.

A la sortie du théâtre, on pouvait choisir entre deux urnes, placées de part et d’autre de la porte, pour voter “sì“ ou “no” avec la petite carte qui nous avait été remise à l’entrée. Celle qui disait “no”, si on venait de voir un spectacle qu’on n’aurait pas aimé. Mais comme celui-ci m’avait plu, j’ai glissé mon carton dans celle de droite, qui disait sì 🙂

A beautiful night at Teatro Duse in Bologna.

‘Robinson’, a piece by Italian choreographer Michele Di Stefano, captivated me right from the start. The set was pretty bare, but powerful, just like the shadows and lights that would reveal dancers to then transform them into thin silhouettes. This ‘Robinson’ had a simple framework. The atmosphere was that of a desert island – sometimes tiresome, but really lively. And I tremendously liked the dancers’ technique, which was both linear and fluid. If you would rather see a short video than long descriptions, I recommend you watch this trailer.

I left the show with the impression that it had almost been too short … But these 5 dancers’ performance was worth while. If I had been in their place, I could probably not have danced for a lot longer. They had already given much, and their work had to be rewarded by applause.

At the exit of the theatre, the public could choose between 2 ballot boxes, placed on either side of the door. We could vote ‘sì‘ or ‘no’ with a small card that had been given to us the entrance. The ‘no’ box would have been the one to pick if we had just seen a show that we would not have enjoyed. But since I liked this one, I slipped my card in the box on the right side of the door – the one that said sì 🙂
