Notre spectacle a commencé à la tombée de la nuit, sur la scène à ciel ouvert de la Limonaia Strozzi. Après les pièces de Manuel et Fernando, nous présentions “May be wrong” de Guido Sarli. L’unisson m’a semblé plus réussi à la répétition générale qu’à ce spectacle, mais je pense qu’on a mieux interprété la 2ème partie de la pièce, et qu’on a plutôt bien assuré la représentation. En tous cas, le public a applaudi !

J’ai rejoint ma famille dans les gradins après l’entracte pour voir les pièces de Rosalba et d’Elisa. Une fois le spectacle fini, danseurs, organisateurs et chorégraphes sont allés savourer une pizza bien méritée  😀 Il était minuit passé, nous avions tous faim et l’ambiance conviviale à l’italienne nous faisait oublier l’heure.

Une agréable surprise m’attendait au moment de la remise des prix. Cinq bourses allaient être attribuées. Il y en avait une par groupe … et parmi les danseurs de Guido, c’est moi qui avais été choisie ! Je pourrai donc participer à la prochaine édition du festival OpenFLR en ne payant que la moitié des frais d’inscription. Ravie et reconnaissante, j’avais donc le cœur léger au moment de m’en aller. La nuit était belle sur les rives de l’Arno. Ah, Florence … Pas de doute : j’y reviendrai avec grand plaisir en 2017  🙂

Our show begun at nightfall, on the open air stage of the Limonaia Strozzi. After Manuel’s piece and Fernando’s, we came on to perform ‘May be wrong’ by Guido Sarli. To me, the unison seemed better at the dress rehearsal than this time round. But I think that we performed the second part of the piece better, and that we managed the show quite well. The audience gave us an applause anyway!

I joined my family in the stands after the interval, so that I could see Rosalba’s and Elisa’s pieces. When the show was done, all dancers, staff and choreographers went out for well deserved pizzas  😀 It was past midnight, all of us were hungry and the friendly, Italian atmosphere made us forget about the time.

A very pleasing surprise was waiting for me at the prize-giving moment. Five bursaries would be awarded. There was one per group … and among Guido’s dancers, I was the one who had been chosen! This means that I will be able to take part in the next edition of the OpenFLR festival and only pay for half of the registration fee.

Delighted and grateful, I was light of heart when I had to leave. The night was beautiful on the banks of the Arno river. Ah, Florence … There is no doubt that I’ll come back there with great pleasure in 2017  🙂
