Next month, I will be performing at Wandsworth Arts Fringe! After a fun audition on site, I have been selected to perform in Please Select [City], a new dance piece by Taiwanese choreographer Kuan-Yu Chen.
We will start creating and rehearsing the piece in two weeks, and I’m excited to work with my duet partner, Inari Hulkkonen, whom I met at the audition. Inari is from Finland and trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, in Leeds. Together, we will perform Please Select [City] 13 times over 3 consecutive weekends. Below are all of our performance dates and times, for those of you who are in, or are able to come to London:
- Saturday 5th May 2018, 2.30PM to 3.10PM and 4.00PM to 4.40PM
- Sunday 6th May 2018, 6.30PM to 7.10PM and 8.00PM to 8.40PM
- Saturday 12th May 2018, 6.30PM to 7.10PM and 8.00PM to 8.40PM
- Sunday 13th May 2018, 1.00PM to 1.40PM, 2.30PM to 3.10PM and 4.00PM to 4.40PM
- Saturday 19th May 2018, 2.30PM to 3.10PM and 4.00PM to 4.40PM
- Sunday 20th May 2018, 6.30PM to 7.10PM and 8.00PM to 8.40PM
The great thing about this show is that it will be very easy to find it! If you come from central London and get off the train at Wandsworth Common Station, you will arrive on Platform 1 and won’t need to go any further: that’s where Platform 1 Gallery is, and where our performance will happen.
